Mabon - The Boone Witch Project
My personal journey on the path
Well, last night I had my tiny Mabon celebration. I cooked and prayed. I made a lovely meal of fresh bread, baked apples and some fabulous raspberry wine. It tasted wonderful. Then when I was finished I took a bit of eveything, took it out to the woods and committed it back to the earth as my offering for the year's bounty.

I've been doing this small "committal ritual" with my Halloween pumpkins for many years, even before I began my pagan journey. It was always just something that felt right, so I did it. This was the first time I had used it for another observance.

This was my first celebration and I think it went well. Next time I'll have to try some new things and put more into it. I'll have to incorporate more of my prayer ritual. I'll have to see what I can do for Samhain/Halloween.

The thing is, the roommates aren't too comfortable with the whole pagan ritual thing in the house. Only reason I got to have this celebration was I was alone this weekend with the roomies being out of town. I'll have to see what I can do.
